Progress
I worked more on the painting of my dog today.
Not sure how many hours I must have spent on it... another couple this evening I guess. Gonna try to get it finished for next week so I can get it printed! I'm really enjoying this, it's nice to have something to work on besides uni work.

Doodle
Quick doodle of WarGreymon!
I say quick, the sketch took me a while, but I only spent 30mins on the colouring. I wanted a break from uni work.

Again with the painting!
Again, I wanted to practise my speed paint technique so I took a few photos of my greyhound, Ria, and sat down with my trusty wacom.
This is the picture I chose:
And here are a series of WIP's:
I think i've clocked up around 8hrs on this so far... I intend to get it finished in time for Christmas to give to my parents as a present! But I haven't worked on it since the beginning of September because uni has taken over. I'll keep you posted.
Pokemon Paintings
So over the summer I did a series of 2hr digital paintings of 5th gen Pokemon. I had a lot of fun with them, I wanted to practise speed painting and followed a couple of tutorials from deviantart to help me.

Maya/Mudbox Hand Project
So for our project these couple weeks we had to model our own hand low poly in maya - then transfer and sculpt/texture in mudbox, before transferring back to maya to render out in Mental Ray.
Phew.
So here is my end result!
(With displacement map, rendered in Maya with Mental Ray):

And here are photos for reference:
I have to say, I had a lot of fun working in Mudbox. I painted the texture on myself using just the mudbox brushes rather than using a stencil of my own hand as the texture (which was what most of my classmates chose to do... I think I ended up giving myself more work) but I wanted to experiment with painting the texture.
Here are a few more stills of my sculpt:
